Is anyone else confused with all the recent changes in healthcare? Trust me, you're not alone! If I'm here, fluent in English, confused beyond reason – imagine how my parents & grandparents feel, with Spanish being their first language & English being their second. I do my best to help them but as you know, it's hard trying to find the perfect coverage for your family & your loved ones. My Grandma, who we take care of when she comes here, has Medicare so I was especially intrigued to hear about one of the new optional programs being provided by Medicare called Medicare Part D that provides insurance to help you pay for prescription drugs.

Anyone on Medicare (with either Part A or Part B) is entitled to drug coverage (known as Part D) regardless of income. No physical exams are required & you cannot be denied for health reasons or because you already use a lot of prescription drugs. If you select to have drug coverage, you only have to pay a monthly premium and you can transfer your prescription to your favorite pharmacy.

Our favorite pharmacy has to be Walgreens, it's the only one who's always open 24/7 near us & not only that but they also offer an expertadvisor 24/7 with Pharmacy Chat in case you have any questions.

Walgreens Latino

With Walgreens, your elders can refill prescriptions online, get refill reminders, track immunizations & not only that but by switching to Walgreens, your elderly family members can SAVE with copays as low as $0 on select plansPlease note that Medicare Part D coverage is for people age 65 and older & only US Citizens and Residents are eligible. With my grandma, parents and other family members I know eligible for this program, I'll be sure to let them know about it.

For more information, be sure to check out the Walgreens website or connect with Walgreens on Facebook. And for even more information, check out this bilingual brochure with more amazing information: Walgreens Medicare Part D. You can also join @LatinaMomBlogs for the “What’s Med D? Twitter Party” tonight (2/5) from 9-10 pm ET to learn about prescription coverage options. Follow along using the #WalgreensLatino hashtag!

Do your elders gave Medicare Part D? Have them switch & save with Walgreens!
