Disclosure: Thanks to Disney, Marvel & Dreamworks, I was sent on an all expense paid trip including airfare, hotel accommodations & transportation while in Los Angeles. However, all opinions stated are 100% my own.
As part of my trip to California for the #ThorDarkWorldEvent & #DeliveryManEvent, I was able to not just walk one red carpet but TWO red carpets! One of them, as you read yesterday, was for Dreamworks' Delivery Man. On Monday Night, I was blessed enough to walk down the red carpet for Marvel's Thor: The Dark World! I had walked a red carpet the previous night but it didn't make it any less exciting. There's just something about the atmosphere – the lights, the people, all the buzz you hear all around – you can't help but feel excited. After we stopped & took a picture on the Oscar stairs in front of the Dolby Theatre , we made our way to the El Capitan Theatre across the street & when I saw Ben Lyons from E! & Anthony Hopkins on the screen, that's when I really started freaking out.
As I slowly, and I mean slowly – I had only walked a couple of feet & my feet were already killing me , walked towards the red carpet, I noticed a sexy back like no other back that I had ever seen (Shh! Don't tell my husband!)…as I walked closer, I noticed it was Chris Hemsworth! He was busy signing autographs for fans so I quickly snapped a shot of his lovely back before security told me to hurry right along.
It was the same craziness & bright lights of the night before with the same security telling us to "Move!" Of course we didn't listen before we all took our pictures on the red carpet!
And since my feet were killing me, I would have listened & kept moving but then I spotted Derek Theler & Chelsea Kane from ABC Family's Baby Daddy. Anybody who knows me or follows me on Twitter knows how much I love this show….& Jean-Luc Bilodeau.
I knew he had to be near if they were there…so I turn around & BAM! It suddenly got darker & all I saw was a spotlight on him – it was something out of the movies, I swear, lol. So of course I took a picture of him…or two….or three…;P
Obviously, my night was made so I made my way to the theatre & after grabbing this sexy Thor Cup & 3D glasses, I made my way to my seat.
And as amazing as my pictures are, taken from my shaking hands while I was being pushed along by security, I'm sure you want to see some better pics of the stars of Thor: The Dark World – so enjoy them below!
Let me take a moment here to say that THIS HAPPENED! Double the Hemsworth! Sweet Lord Baby Jesus! Those who follow me on Twitter know I was praying & hoping that this would happen & it did & there is just SO much pretty in this picture! I can't. x_x
And my two new crushes:
When I finally made it to my seat, the first thing I did was: TAKE OFF MY SHOES! Then I watched the Live Feed from the Red Carpet on the screen inside of the theatre until the movie started….which was AMAZING, by the way!
After the movie, I made my way back outside, snapped a picture of the display where all the stars of the movie stood in front of to take pictures & then I just stood & tried to spot as many celebs that I could. Spotted: Tom Hiddleston, Zachary Levi, Debby Ryan from Disney Channel's Jessie, Jake Short from Disney Channel's Ant Farm, Michael Rooker from The Walking Dead.
After going back to the hotel, I had planned to order room service & relax but I walked in my room with my heels in my hand (they came off as soon as I walked off the elevator), checked my phone in bed & dozed off. I woke up, changed into PJs & knocked out again – I was that tired! Such a fun & amazing night & it's definitely one that I'm never going to forget!
Now…onto my movie review!
About the film:
Marvel’s "Thor: The Dark World" continues where The Avengers movie left off (please watch Thor & The Avengers before watching this movie). In the movie, Thor battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. To defeat an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor sets upon his most dangerous and personal journey yet, forced into an alliance with the treacherous Loki to save not only his people and those he loves…but our universe itself. Will they be able to stop Malekith ? Will Loki betray Thor? You're going to have to watch the movie to find out!
My personal thoughts:
I walked into this premiere knowing this movie was going to be entertaining & it definitely didn't disappoint! I was kind of scared though because I was SO tired from not sleeping well & I thought I would doze off. I am happy to say that that didn't happen! I was actually disappointed when it ended – I wanted more! Thor: The Dark World has a little bit of everything: action, humor & romance. I personally enjoyed it from start to end & of course, they finished off the movie with a cliffhanger that has me twitching with anticipation for the next movie! Note to those who see it: Stay for TWO extra bonus scenes after the credits.
I know some parents have little ones who they aren't sure if they can handle some of the content in this movie. The bad guys do look a little scary for the younger crowd. I have a 5 year old son who LOVES his Super Heroes. He's seen all of the movies & I know he can handle watching this movie. Your child is most likely different so what I say to those parents who aren't sure: You're the only one who knows your child & what they can handle. It's your call! If they handled watching Thor or The Avengers well (or any other Super Hero movie), they can handle watching this movie as well.
I LOVED it & can't wait to watch it again this weekend with my husband & son – who are both more than excited to watch. Little man even has his Thor shirt ready to wear!
Thor: The Dark World comes out in theaters TODAY, November the 8th! Yes, the day has arrived so what are you waiting for?!? Go out & see it – I can't wait to hear what you guys think of it!
Are you planning on watching the movie this weekend?
