Disclosure: Thanks to Disney, Marvel & Dreamworks, I was sent on an all expense paid trip including airfare, hotel accommodations & transportation while in Los Angeles. However, all opinions stated are 100% my own.
So, as you guys may already know from all my Tweeting & Instagramming, I was in California this past weekend. You guys were following along with the #DeliveryManEvent hastag, right? …Of course you were! 😉 One of the many fun things on the agenda while I was in California was to attend the Delivery Man Movie Premiere on Sunday night. I knew what to expect since this was my second movie premiere but I was excited because this was the first time I was walking a red carpet (the premiere for Frankenweenie had a white carpet)! With the streets lined up with fans, the bright lights lining the red carpet, all 25 bloggers made our way to the legendary El Capitan Theatre.
For those who haven't been to one, you have to know the red carpet is a very fast paced place to be. It's chaotic with hundreds of people all around yelling things & lights everywhere! The photographers want a perfect shot of the celebrities so security is moving everyone along. Regardless of being told to "Move! Move! Move!", all of the bloggers were able to take a picture on the red carpet.
From where we were standing, we could see the celebrities being interviewed & having their pictures taken but since I was being told to "Move!" every 2 seconds and since I am one to follow the rules…I moved. lol. No pictures of celebs were taken by me but you can check out some pictures below of them from the red carpet – way better than any pictures I would have taken of their butts, backs & profiles from where I was standing!
After making my way to my seat, I looked back & noticed that Vince Vaughn was seated just a couple of rows back. I've been a Vince Vaughn since I was 14 & a Chris Pratt fan since he was on the show Everwood & hello, I'm a huge Parks & Rec fan so to know that I was in the same room as them, watching their movie – words can't even describe. I was feeling all sorts of feels, you guys! Don't worry, I was able to control my inner fan girl & was able to enjoy the movie – which by the way, is AMAZING!
We then walked out & made our way to the Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood for the After Party. The food, the decor, the atmosphere – all great but I have to say, after a ridiculously long day, I was beat. After walking around for a bit & semi-stalking Vince Vaughn & Chris Pratt, I finally made it back to the hotel where I kicked off my shoes, ordered room service & knocked out!
It was such a fun & amazing night & even days after it happened, I'm sitting here wondering how I got so lucky. There's still more #DeliveryManEvent fun that I want to share with you guys so be on the lookout for those posts in the next couple of weeks! In the meantime, be sure to connect with Delivery Man on Facebook & Twitter & check out the trailer below! Don't forget – Delivery Man is in theaters on November 22 – this is one movie that you don't want to miss! 😀
